Chicago Italian Restaurant Now Open for Lunch on Weekends
La Gondola, 2008 Winner of AOL City’s Best for Italian, Serves up Lunchtime Cravings

Chicago, IL – January 22, 2009 – Hangovers, Chicago-style pizza and online ordering for lunch? Chicago’s award-wining Italian and Chicago-style pizza restaurant, La Gondola Italian Restaurant is now open for lunch to ease the weekend hangovers and satisfy Yelp cravings.

La Gondola lunch is served on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 PM with online ordering and phone orders beginning at 11:00 AM.

“La Gondola currently has 63 five-star Yelp user ratings,” said La Gondola Chef/Owner Andrew McGuire. “Customers and Chicago Yelpers kept asking us to open for lunch on the weekend, so we decided the timing was right and made sense!”

Offering award winning Chicago-style pizza and authentic Italian dishes, La Gondola has been recognized as among Chicago's best eateries and been awarded the title of AOL's 2008 City's Best Italian Restaurant. In addition to this prestigious nod to culinary excellence, La Gondola was also featured on Rachel Ray’s daytime talk show.

“We are now open for lunch because our customers have demanded it,” said Andrew McGuire, owner of La Gondola. “We are happy to serve great Italian food all day, and it’s been great to see some familiar faces stopping by for lunch.”

As Chicago's best Italian restaurant, La Gondola is known to offer the freshest, family style Italian food and has been Zagat rated since 1991. Popular menu offerings include Chicago style pizza, Rigatoni Boscaiola, (a signature La Gondola dish of pasta, fresh mushrooms, Italian sausage, and sage) and Eggplant Parmigiana (3 layers of fresh eggplant, pecorino Romano and mozzarella, served with mostaccioli with marinara).
